Apple sized fruit with white or yellow creamy, custardy pulp that has an excellent sweet banana flavor. White sapote's are well known throughout much of Central America and Mexico.
Allow fruit to ripen at room temperature. Flesh is white to yellowish-white, creamy with a sweet flavor. Best eaten fresh or may be refrigerated up to 7 days.
When fruit becomes soft, it is fully ripened, spoon the light pulp from the skin and enjoy plain, or with a few drops of lime or lemon. Remember, skin is very bitter in taste.
