The USA Grown Alphonso Mango is golden yellow with a small kiss of red on the outside and a rich, deep apricot color inside. Once you have tasted our USA Grown Alphonso Mangoes, you will anxiously await their late- June/July return each year.
The USA Grown Alphonso Mango is a medium-sized mango, similar to the Kesar, Keitt and Haden variety. Fully green when ripe, Alphonso Mangos turn from green to golden yellow as they soften and ripen. Our Alphonso Mangoes are left on the tree longer which produces a sweeter mango. The smell of the ripe Alphonso Mango is outstanding.
Our Alphonso Mangos are hand selected for excellent quality. Our fruits are firm, have unblemished skin and a fresh scent. Since mangos are usually sold firm, leave at room temperature for a few days to soften until yielding to gentle pressure. Refrigerate once ripe for up to a week or more.
Preparation: Wash. Peel and cut fruit away from the huge, flat seed in the center.
